Name of your website?

Cyclone Machinery - Green Valley Machine Products

Your name?

Larry Faulkner

Your Location (city, etc)

London, Ontario, Canada

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Cyclonemachinery.com is an information website illustrating a number of new CNC machine tools that we offer for sale to machine shops within our region.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Cyclonemachinery.com was first launched in 2002 but as times, products, technology and the internet itself are all in a constant state of change, it was time for a major upgrade.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name was decided for us as Cyclone Machinery is our main product line.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We are the exclusive dealers for our region for the product lines we carry.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To continue to upgrade the website so thta it always remains current.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

In the field of large ticket asset sales, one successful sales lead justifies the time and money invested into a website.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Our advertising budget would be substantially increased

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Because we deal with a specific region and distribute what is in effect a niche product line, this will not be a concern. We have the manpower and capability to handle a much larger client base than we are already servicing.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth . . . you know the old adage: "word of mouth advertising never lies"

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It hasn't really differed from expectations but has more shown us what to realistically expect from a website.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

The website itself has been in existence for 5 years, it will remain in existence as long as the principles of Cyclone Machinery - Green Valley Machine Tools are above ground.

What does the future hold for Cyclone Machinery - Green Valley Machine Tools?

We are already seeing a small upward spike in enquiries from our website, which we expect will continue. Inevitably the word will get out about our Akira Seiki high speed CNC production centers, the world's fastest CNC machines. We expect 2008 to be a banner year for this type of machinery.

What is your website address?
