Dixie Precision is a 48,000 square foot job shop in North Birmingham. We started the shop in 1980. We have lots of very old junky equipent, but its all paid for, so our overhead is low. We have the best employees in the world. We are known for our precision machining and close tolerances. We do large work. The bed of our largest lathe is 38 feet long. We can swing 60" inches, but if it is too long the weight will get us. We do have (6) 7 1/2 tons cranes, but we max out at about 25,000 lbs. We also have large table bars and floor bars. In addition to our job shop machine shop, we also have a department that recovers rubber rolls and rubber rollers.
