What inspired you to launch your own website?

Our interest in Milling and metalworking pushed us to become an Easson distributor.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

January 2003 for metal tooling.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We sell digital readouts, and DRO PROS seemed a good fit!

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We provide a lot more information than other similar websites.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To become the premier DRO seller on the internet.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Right now we invest a lot of time and effort but against that we hope in the future to have this pay itself back.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We would produce our own brand name, private label.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Most likely but our resources would be stretched thin.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Advertidsing. It is very expensive.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Cash flow and time managament.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Blog posting and site links.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It has taken up a lot more time than expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It has been 3 years already. We hope to keep going indefinitely.

What do we offer over our competitors?

Better service and knowledge of product.

What is your website address?
