Short Run Pro Interview

By Interviewer at 05/28/08 20:10

North Carolina, any: Logo Name of your website?

Short Run Pro

Your name?

Steven

Your Location (city, etc)

Belmont

Please give us a short summary of your website?

ShortRunPro is an online resource for metal parts drawing and manufacturing. Our solutions are used by individuals and large companies worldwide

What inspired you to launch your own website?

We recognized the mass production of metal parts were fufilling the custom metal needs of small businesses and individuals. That is what Short Run Pro is.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

The website was launched in April 2006. When it was launched it was a framework built so that customers could make their custom parts. Since then it has mainly been fixing bugs and expanding our services while keeping our customers needs first.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Our premier difference is our Pro Quote system. This system allows anyone to create their custom metal parts and immediatly provide them with a price for their parts.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our eventual goal is to keep it for income. SRP has already surpassed our early expectations and we are excited to see where it will go.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes. We are currently working on a more advanced quoting system to further streamline our process.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Our biggest challenge has been the startup and climbing the Google ranks for terms like "Countertop bracket" or "Machined part"

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Google

What is your website address?
